Dr. Butch Schroyer

Dr. Butch Schroyer

Owner, Veterinarian

Like most of his colleagues, Dr. Schroyer initially became a veterinarian because he enjoyed working with and being around animals. As his career advanced and he opened his first practice location, and learned just how much he truly enjoyed helping people and their pets. Being a service to both the human and the animal community has been a very rewarding career and one that he wouldn’t change for anything!

Dr. Taylor Linville

Veterinarian

Long before she earned the title of veterinarian, Dr. Taylor was known for stopping to help animals others passed by. Growing up in Berea, Kentucky, she instinctively cared for every stray she encountered, picking them up, tending to them, and advocating for their well-being. Those early experiences shaped a clear sense of purpose. Dr. Taylor felt called to be a voice for animals who could not speak for themselves, a calling that would eventually guide every step of her professional journey.

Dr. Taylor began her academic path at Eastern Kentucky University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Pre-Veterinary focus. She then continued at Lincoln Memorial University, completing a master’s degree in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences before advancing into their veterinary program. This layered educational experience strengthened her understanding of both foundational science and clinical medicine, preparing her to approach cases with depth, precision, and confidence.

In practice, Dr. Taylor enjoys the diagnostic and problem-solving aspects of veterinary medicine. She has a strong interest in ultrasonography, surgery, and radiology, viewing each as critical tools that help her evaluate complex cases and make informed decisions. These disciplines allow her to combine careful observation with advanced technology, supporting accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans that can ultimately save lives.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Taylor lives in Richmond with her husband, Blake. Their home is shared with three cats named Bubba, Binx, and Little Girl, whose daily routines serve as a reminder of the trust pets place in their caregivers. That perspective carries into her professional life, reinforcing her thoughtful, compassionate approach to care.
